The Eel River Recovery project was formed to serve the community of the Eel River watershed by helping citizen monitors gauge the health of the watershed, and to share information back with their neighbors. The foundation of citizen science creates a trusted framework, so that communities can assess the health of their nearby streams and determine whether efforts to restore the Eel River ecosystem are working.
ERRP wants members to understand why it was formed, to examine the guidance given us by the community at our formative meetings, and to be able to judge how well we are meeting the objectives of our Action Plans.

The 2013 Action Plan was forged in retreat at Emandal in October, 2012. ERRP is busy pursuing resources and building partnerships to help meet the needs of communities within the Eel River watershed.
